Kritus — Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the Kritus app ("the App") handles your data.

In short: The developer collects nothing about you. Your practice history and settings live on your device. The microphone is used only for real-time pitch detection, and audio is processed on your device and immediately discarded. The App has no developer accounts, no developer servers, no analytics, no tracking, and no ads. Kritus is a paid subscription; purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play, and the developer receives only whether your subscription is active — never your payment details.

Microphone

The App uses your device's microphone solely for real-time pitch detection — to check the notes you play on your guitar or piano. Audio is analyzed on your device in real time and immediately discarded. It is never recorded, saved, or transmitted. The App also plays reference sounds through your speaker or headphones; those are not recordings of you.

Your practice data

Your mastery, progress, and settings are stored using your device's standard local storage. Kritus does not send them to the developer. Your operating system may include this data in backups or device transfers according to your system and account settings. Deleting the App removes its local data; any system backup copies are managed through your device's backup settings.

No accounts, no tracking

The App has no sign-in and no user accounts. It contains no analytics services, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. Nothing about your use of the App is collected or shared.

Subscriptions

Kritus is offered as an auto-renewable subscription with a free trial. Purchases, renewals, and billing are handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play under their own privacy policies; the developer never receives your payment details. The App checks only whether you have an active subscription (an entitlement) as reported by the App Store or Google Play, and does not link it to your identity or send it to any developer server.

Children

The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted with a new effective date.
